ENGL 6900 [1.0 credit] Comprehensive Examination
This examination will include a range of texts in the student's field of specialization.
One four-hour written exam, and one week later, a one-to-two hour oral exam.

Students are required to complete one comprehensive examination ENGL 6900 [1.0] ), which will focus on relevant theoretical and methodological issues and take the form of a written and oral examination set and marked by members of core faculty. This will normally take place at the beginning of the second year of full-time doctoral study.
